At Prego Dalliance Sanctuary, we’ve learned one of life’s most beautiful lessons from the birds in our care: parrots don’t discriminate—and neither do we.
In our sanctuary, we see Eclectus parrots befriending African Greys, Indian Ringnecks playing with Amazons and Macaw getting a kiss from an Eclectus. They don’t care about species, colors, accents, or pasts. What matters to them is kindness, acceptance, and trust.
We follow their example.
PDS does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, national origin, disability, marital status, or military status. Everyone is welcome here—whether you're surrendering a bird, looking to adopt, volunteering your time, or simply sharing our mission.
We believe in building a community that reflects the compassion of our flock: diverse, inclusive, and loving. Just like our parrots, we thrive together—regardless of our differences.
Let’s all take a note from our feathered friends: build bridges, not barriers.
We are usually more afraid, because we don't know if they will get along. But eclectus' have such a warm heart that they welcomed everyone with a big kiss.

Sharing meals together has become a norm in our sanctuary. All the little munchkins eat together. They will even share a bowl of food together.
Its refreshing to see no discrimination in our sanctuary among our little one. We are truly grateful.
